Artist's Statement

To love what I do, to have it remain satisfying and challenging is essential to me. I came to wedding photography 14 years ago as a natural outgrowth of my involvement with photography as an artist. This can be seen in my portfolio which reflects a highly personal style, technically skilled and compositionally refined yet playful.

Selecting a photographer appropriate for you is critical to your overall sense of satisfaction at the close of your wedding day. To insure this, quality must be the primary consideration as you judge a photographer's suitability. Packages brimming with incentives are no compensation for mediocrity. Price alone is not an indication of quality. That can only be determined by the photographs themselves.

The photographer is a central player on the wedding day and will have a considerable influence on the overall mood created. Couples who hire a studio without first meeting the individual with whom they'll be spending their wedding day risk disappointment. Ideally what should be sought is someone who not only blends well with friends and family but actually enhances the atmosphere while providing meaningful images of quality. That's a lot to ask and not easily accomplished.

What makes my work so gratifying to me is that, unlike most types of commercial photography, wedding imagery is of deep emotional significance to my clients. I'm rewarded to have the opportunity to enter people's lives for a day and provide photographs with a unique perspective and sensitivity.
